Could somebody tell me why the hell this smurf lookin' mofo neva released this song? Gawd, why hold back?

This is one of the rare efforts that need 2 see the light desparatly and QUICKLY!

I prefer "I love U but I don't trust U anymore".

"I Can't love U anymore" is too sappy.

Even for Prince.

It's just too much.

I always got the feeling that the music and lyrics to "I Cant love U Anymore" were made up as he recorded it. Dont know why? I love the song.

Yo describtion reminds me of Jill Scotts' describtion of the song "Under The Cherry Moon". Saying that he sang the song like "breathing" he didn't reharse 4 it.

Jill scotts description of princes performance of UTCM rings true for me too, it sounds effortless to him. however, With regard to "i cant love u anymore" I sense that the lyrics were ad-libbed. The music is quite standard Jazz/blues ballad progression, so that could explain why it sounds so free but well structured. Its the tiny time streches that he plays that make me feel that the lyrics were coming to him inspirationally as appossed to being remembered. For instance, the intro "I..cant love u..anymore. The minute delays between certain words suggest to me that he's finding the melody on the keys and backing it up with the inspired words.


Whatever the reason, the result is beautiful

Great tune that should have been released IMO.
