Prince songs used by others

Hello every1, new to this so sorry if this has come up b4. Do you know of any songs by other artists that have been influenced by Prince songs

Obvious ones "Soft N Wet" by MC Hammer (the legend)and also "Boom Boom Boom" by the Outhere Brothers (taking off erotic city).

Any help would be much appreciated

Stevey

Unles my ears deceive me, t.A.t.U's debut single 'All The Things She Said' features a sample of the first two seconds of 'Sex In The Summer' (possibly producer Trevor Horn's idea).

In turn, Prince appears to have based some of the instrumentation on 'Sex In The Summer'on existing material by Parliament. To these ears it doesn't sound like a sample, more like a reworking of bits from Parliament, since the sound is so clear and crisp.

Anybody care to shed more light on this?

Arrested Development's "Tennessee" has a sample of Prince saying "Tennessee" alla long the song and at the end "2 Tennesse", both taken from "Alphabet street"... but I wouldn't really call this an influence... "Untitled" by D'Angelo is more of a Prince influenced song for me.
