I'll Do Anything-The "Coulda Been" Best 90's Material?

I heard the album and I really couldn't think of anything bad about it at all. This is the very best "feel-good" material he eva recorded in the 90's IMO. Its crystal clear that Prince was listening 2 Quincy Jones & Miles Davis when he made that effort.

My only 2 complains are, it wasn't released(well some of it)so people neva had the chance 2 hear it. And its very short, it needs mo' jams.

But overall, I personaly think this is the most different and prolific effort from the 90's(along with The Truth of course).

Anybody esle dig this album beside me?

I think the song "Wow" is supposed to be on the album somewhere.

Never did much for me those songs.

I always thought they worked in the context of the projected soundtrack, but not as a stand alone Prince album.

Wasn't Julie Kavner in that film?!

I can only imagine her singing some of those songs! falloff

Are you sure "When the lights go Down" was supposed to be
on there? I've never seen that placed along with the other
songs before. Plus, it seems out of place since it's so
long and in a way, different from the other trax.

The best track from that "album" is "There Is Lonely" cuz
it's an absolute stellar vocal performance. It might not
seem like something special at first listen but once you
take the time to sit down and listen to it on headphones,
this song reveals it's true beauty. Incredible track.

To be honest its only a guess. Since it goes along with the texture(so to speak). "She Spoke 2 Me" sounds like another outtake too.

99% of the I'll Do Anything sessions are the worst, slushy, drivelly piss-poor pieces of crap He's ever put his name 2. Im glad 4 us and glad 4 him that it never got 2 see the light of day.
