I wonder if this song is really about someone? I know Christopher Tracy was killed in UTCM, but I get the feeling that Prince may have lost another friend along the way when he wrote this song. Could "Tracy" be someone like "Morris Day"? I never appreciated how pretty this song is until I heard it at the end of the Live in Las Vegas DVD. Very nice, yet sad ballad.

I've often thought too that "Sometimes it Snows in April" sounds like it could be about a real person. It just sounds too personal for it to have just been about the death of a fictional character.

The story goes that Prince wrote the lyrics to sometimes it snows in april, and W&L did the melody/music..
