it`s a sweet song imo Don't mean to sound patronising but are you sure it's not The Beautiful Ones from Purple Rain...?

It's an acoustic jam that was recorded in the late '70s. Not a whole lot of lyrics, just Prince playing 3 chords on his guitar. Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

Well, let's make it a Beautiful Ones thread since paisley2002 already answered the question... Baby, baby, baby, baby, I want YOU! Yes I DO! The Normal Whores Club

it`s a sweet song imo Do you mean a full band version. That's from a purple rain era rehearsal with the Revolution. It's a song from Aretha Franklin and is sometimes mistitled I hurt myself.

In a sense you're both right. There's a home taping of a demo, a Prince original, titled 'Baby, Baby, Baby' from 78-79 doing the rounds on a bootleg called Studio Nights (highly recommended, since it contains the entire unreleased tracks from that era). The Purple Rain-era rehearsal of the same title (mistakenly called 'I Hurt Myself' by bootleggers) is a cover version of an Aretha Franklin number from her classic album 'I Never Loved A Man (The Way That I Love You)'. .
