First what I didnt care about the dvd.I was pretty down about the "Money dont matter tonite" cause he doesnt sing it! he plays about 30 seconds of the song and goes into another song.. that totally sucked about the dvd.
He put the damn credits on when he was playin Sometimes It Snows in April.. It somehow made the feeling Cheap.. I mean, why he did this I will never understand. Another pointless thing was putting The Ryde aside from the whole tracklist.. meaning u have to go back to the menu, and click on bonus track, when he could easily just added it to the rest of the setlist.

While this is a strange tracklisting, there are a few really nice songs... One that is most noticable is the "Strollin/U Want Me" performance.. very jazzy, Its a nice part of this dvd. The Led Z. Cover is pretty good. Gotta Broken Heart Again is probably the best performance on the dvd.
The Ryde is a nice one too.

I thought it was a really nice dvd, but I highly doubt with the tracklisting, people will be tempted to purchase or be excited about this.. He left some really strong performances and songs off that would have made this dvd a truely great performance.

But overall, It was pretty good.

I like the dvd overall, myself. It does seem almost like the dvd is a teaser for a longer one to come later.Like it's a sample dvd.

I'll never understand why he couldn't have left the whole performance on there. He could have thown in the soundcheck and aftershow as well. That concert was full of long improvised jams. Why cut that out? Cut out the opening song as well? Why why why?

My favorite track is "Gotta Broken Heart Again". By the way, I noticed on the DVD cover it says "Selected tracks from the One Nite Alone tour", which would explain why it's so short! Pity though! I really like the DVD...it just should be longer!

My favorite tracks are 1+1+1=3, Whole Lotta Love and Everlasting Now. The whole DVD is really good only regret is that it's so Short, but Prince and the band never sounded better nor looked better. Wonderful.

It defies all logic to leave off the opening and closing tracks, and then edit the best performances out of the show. In fact it doesnt just defy logic, it is an absolute insult to the fans.

The only thing i can think that was going through his mind was that he had already released the ONA album, and so he wanted to mainly include stuff that wasnt featured on that.

I also recall him responding to a question in an interview a few years back in which he said he wouldnt release a live album because it stood as some sort of definitive statement of your live act (or something along those lines), and that he didnt feel a record or one off performance could do this effectively.

Maybe Prince wasnt happy with the standard of his performance in some of the other songs, and didnt want them to be released. If you think about it, ONA live was a selection of the best performances from the tour, but for a one off show, he doesnt have the luxury of doing this.
