having just viewed the Aladdin DVD for the fourth time it suddenly struck me - Eric Leeds - surely the longest serving (on & off) Prince band member. He certainly looks like he's been around a bit (on the next tour there'll be wheeling him on).

Its quite an achievement to have kept in Prince's good book for so long although I did hear once that around the time of the '98 tour they had a falling out over money that Prince hadn't paid Eric. How true that is I'm not sure.

If there is a band member whose phone number Prince should never forget, it's Eric Leeds. I think he makes a great foil for Prince onstage.

And I hope to hell he gets paid this time around.

Mr. Hayes was around in various capacities from late 89 until 2001.

Eric was around from 1985 until 1989 and again for a short period in 1995 or 1996 (Dolphin on Letterman) and then again this year and last so he hasn't really spent that much time with Prince.
