lisa joined up with prince in 1980 on his 'Dirty Mind' album, and went on to play and write with prince for the next several albums as well as helped develop the 'spin off' projects like 'The Time', and 'Vanity6'.
wendy first appeared on '1999', but not as an official band member yet. her first project with Prince took her straight to the top in 'Purple Rain'!
wendy and lisa then worked with prince on 'Around the World in a Day' (title track concieved and cowritten by david coleman, lisa's brother). 'Parade' was next, which featured wendy and her now famous smirk in the 'Kiss' video... and then even though w&l had been officially 'fired' ,a few things they had done made it onto 'sign o the times'. and...subsequent collections and special releases...etc. (they had a years worth of tapes).
