Cover to cover. What a waste of £16. Most of it was lifted from DMSR and there were loads of factual mistakes. I wouldn't trust that book as far as I could burn it.

However it left me with this thought. Prince may behave the way he does because of his unresolved issues from childhood. The only difference between him and me is that he got to play it out on a world stage and was scrutinised for it, while I didn't.

a little here about P's History & a little there but what i want 2 know is the INSPIRATION of where this or that song came from... that's the reason i bought it & then u read something here& it turns u'r stomach.

DMSR is a "way" better book & reading... now if he only made a part 2...

I thought the book was better than DMSR. If they used the same research, Per Nilson didn't mine it properly. There were some great stories in there and Per obvioulsly didn't do any research after 1988 because DMSR stops there. If they used the same research, then whoever did the research is amazing because they did enough for 4 or more books (I'd include Days of Wild and Turn It Up as well). Now someone get Per Nilsom to write about the 90s.
