Well, the lyrics on The Truth mostly suck and there aren't many catchy songs on it. "Comeback" is neat and "Don't Play Me" has a good melody, but otherwise its instantly forgettable, if not downright bad. Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic had its moments - like the title track, but that's from '88. "Baby Knows" and "   U, But Can't Trust U Anymore" are good, and "Strange But True" is good - only it sounds like something that used to be delegated to a B-Side. Prince once did some VERY good B-Sides, but when B-Sides material becomes album content, then we are talking a drop in quality.
But mostly this as just another in a long series of R&B albums from Prince where he is trying to recapitalize on past successes - The Greatest Romance = The Most Beautiful Girl, only the lyrics on Greatest Romance suck. The overall songwriting is not as good as it used to be. Emancipation had good material for a single CD - the problem was we got three CDs, making the overall impression second rate. Anyways, that's my opinion.   FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Oh, she's gonna go nuts over that present. I am SO looking forward to seeing the joy in her eyes when she receives it. well have a good time with your friend. i have a friend who is big Prince fan coming ova as well AND i'm giving her a cd i burned up of Prince tracks. wow...we are sooo much alike. Cool. I hope you had a good time, Milty. Certainly I did despite my initial reservations. But she loved my present, dinner was very cool, the company included a couple of girls who went with my friend and I to Prince concerts back in the days. I got a little something to  , and before I know it, we're all on the dancefloor getting sleazy to "Head" and "Peach" and what have we.
I didn't come home until 06:30 this morning, because four of us followed the hot action on the dance floor up with an impromptu spiritual session, laying Tarot cards and getting deep. Kewl. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!
