I'm pretty new to Prince, so... don't get upset if I keep asking advice pr reviews on songs, but since ha made more than 30 albums, I really don't know how to start and don't have too much money too spend.
I discoverd some songs I relly like, such as Bambi, Endorphin machine, chaos and disorder, she loves me 4 me, count the days. However I don't like straight-80s stuff, such as pop life, soft and wet, controversy, et cetera, since I don't like songs where the synthetizers have too much space. So, can anyone help me finding other Prince songs which has the same feeling of the first I mentioned? Thank you all. I already have only the hits 1 & 2

Sounds like u dig the songs with a 'rock' flavor 2 them, u should then get the entire "Chaos & Disorder" album from 1996, with the title track, "I Like It There", "Same December" and "Zannalee" - it'll rock ur socks off!
If u can somehow find a VHS copy of "The Undertaker" - it'll also blow u away!... R.

THE UNDERTAKER - A MUST!
http://www.blackstar.co.u...0000034231 Once u get this video, U'd want it on CD. It's filmed as if u're taking a trip (the shots are reflected in that way with strange angles and trippy effects). But it's just 40 minutes of Rock with drums, bass and Prince on guitar (no keyboards or synths). Joshy once had this link once that explained the whole story / history of the undertaker sessions, if u can find that, that's great to read as well. Please post u're thoughts on this when u get to see it! . [This message was edited Sun Aug 31 5:30:28 PDT 2003 by dnaplaya] Xperience the Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com/

No offense meant, but keyboards and synthezisers are really an important part of a lot of Prince's music.
Why don't you like it? Isn't the song itself more important?

I don't know...it depends on the situation and on the songs.
I can't really explain, but sometimes synthetizers are something I can't suffer. Don't know why. They make the songs too 80s... i think they are distinctive of an age, not of an artist

Witness 4 The Prosecution (if you can find it)
Peach (The Hits/The B-Sides) Those 2 immediately spring to mind. Loads more though! "Everybody want what they don't got..."
