If he announced it I wouldn't pay it much mind because he's hinted at it before. Besides it's hard to stop something that's such a big part of you.
However, if he didn't come out with any music in two or three years I would start to take it seriously. I'd be disappointed as a music-lover but happy for him. I know he'd like to stop and enjoy his life because after a while everything gets old. |

If he did retire, I don't know what i would do.. Probley cry a little then go to my room lock myself up and play his albums all day and pretend that he wasn't.. But i doubt that he would be retiring anytime soon. I mean the brotha is starting to get older and probley tired even though he doesn't look a day over 30 to me..like kisscamille said, He probley does have to pay for all his homes.ECT. I bet in about a year he is going to hit us all up with the best album ever full of funk like that natural sound... Peace and Be Wild!!

the brother died once and was reborn as Symbol Man. apparently that resurrection didn't take, so he was re-reborn as Prince.
actually, I'd argue that Prince has "retired" several times. He has retired his image, style and essence with each successive album. He did it every year from Purple Rain to Lovesexy.
