Two of Prince's most legendary aftershows took place in Holland!

Lucky us (Dutch people): we had Small Club (Paard van Troje 1988) and Nighttown (2002), both are two of the very best and wellknown aftershows in the history of Prince. And that for such a small country!

I think only Bataclan (Paris, 2002) will share the same fame. Or am I too biased???
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

The San Francisco and NYC aftershows in '88
Nearly ALL the Gold era aftershows in Paisley Park!

Not only that, you also had that there great Act II show where he performed Come, Endorphinmachine and Peach as an encore. That was indubitably one of the *classic* Prince concerts. (I didn't attend that particular Act II show but DO have it on tape. It's one of my all-time favorite Prince concerts to listen to.)

I just got a copy of Nighttown (thank you, lovely orger) and it ROCKS! The man was on fuckin' point that night. I prefer that version of "The One" way over the album version.

ACT II in '93 is probably my favorite Prince concert (i saw the Ghent show) ever (i also saw SOTT, Lovesexy, ONA, etc...). Dont know but i liked the overall vibe of the show and the music choice a lot!

The opening with My Name Is Prince/Sexy MF/Love 2 The 9's/
The Beautiful Ones, wow! Prince also playing Irresistible Bitch,She's Always In My Hair,Sign O The Times,And God Created Woman,Sweet Baby,With You,Strollin',Scandalous, a truely magnificent 7,Get Off,DMSR,The Cross,America... etc.

let's get satisfied let's get satisfied headbang

So true. I saw a few Act II shows. Of those I saw, the best was in Stockholm. I almost had tears in my eyes when he rolled out all the classics.
I was hooked from the opening - when Prince entered the stage only to undress and it was Mayte, I knew it was going to be good.
Man, that tour was just so great. Prince certainly HAS given us some good memories of some really good times, hasn't he? (But also some bad - the Nude and D&P tour with the Game Boyz: Ugh!)
So having that Holland show (10/8-1993) on "boot-tape" is just a great way to cherish those moments. And the encore section really has that there Lovesexy spirit - you know, with Prince speaking the lyrics to What's My Name - it's like there's this really intense, urgent message he's trying to get along, which had been missing from the shows since Livesexy '88.
So that tour was just a return to form. It really shows on the celebratory performances of his classics in that particular show in Holland that he is in an exceptionally good mood. That is always nice.
I rate that show right up there with *the* classic Prince And The Revolution Hit'n'Run show in San Francisco 23/5-1986.
But speaking of aftershows, besides the classic '88 Aftershow in Holland, I also have a fondness for the San Francisco Aftershow 12/4-1993 where a sore throated Prince debuted songs like Come and Papa.
So Holland may have had their special Prince moments, but San Francisco certainly had at least two as well.
