aladdin live dvd. could this be the poorest quality dvd ever released ?

i have been waiting on the release of the vegas live gig on dvd with great anticipation, i was lucky enough to see prince ona tour twice last year london and manchester.they were the best prince gigs i have seen outside aftershow partie's.to say i am dissapointed with the quality of the sound and picture would certainly be an understatement. the sound is poor at times and certainly not consistent. the picture is absolutely terrible , i cant believe this dvd in this quality has actually been released.the stage lighting is shining straight into the camera throughout the whole gig UNBELIEVABLE ! i have seen prince in concert 20 times and i own all the video's and dvd's. i reckon this entitles me to an opinion.

i have dvd's by the jam the sex pistols and the clash, they were recorded 20/25 years ago ! and yes they are better quality than prince ona vegas.

? - where can the fans get an explanation ?

? _ is this the worst quality dvd ever ?

It's on my top 5 list.

I don't know if it is the poorest quaulity DVD ever, but the fact that I actually have to contemplate that thought is reason enough for shame.

I know Prince is on tight budget...but... if I didn't know better, I would almost think Aladdin was a bootleg transported to DVD.

There are parts that are better than others, but there are also parts that are really bad as far as the quality is concerned. I'm still glad that I have the DVD. But lets just hope this isn't the new standard for him. And I'll leave it at that.

It might be concerning the quality of the video recordings, and the audio recordings aren't the best I've ever heard too.

But then again, the performances are very tight and that's why I like this DVD much better than the Rave 2000 DVD, which is technically superior. I can't get the Alladin DVD out of my DVD player, so the technical shortcomings don't really stop me from enjoying this release!

Why would Prince's budget be tight? He had just gotten off a tour where he charged people $125 to $150 per seat at his concerts. The year before he paid $5,000,000 cash for a mansion in Tornoto where he spends maybe a month a year at, but he couldn't spend the extra couple thousand dollars to have a REAL camera man and not his stage hands and errand boys film this thing.

For the record it's clearly the worst quality DVD I own and certainly the worst edited.

.Worst edited post ever....

I have one of a Queen concert from '82 "We Will Rock You" that I think is much worse quality.
