To the Average Orger On the Street: Admit it! Do you try to be like Prince? Or has his style just rubbed off?

.
If you're like me, you notice that the longer you're interested in a particular musician, the more they rub off on your playing (I'm a guitarist/singer/multi-instrumentalist) and Prince is no exception.

Not only do I play a lot of stuff within my own music that is Prince-influenced, but I notice that a lot of my attitudes towards life have gotten better since I got into his music more heavily. Don't get me wrong, I am not obsessed - I don't dress like him, talk like him or look the slightest bit like him. But my attitude to work as well as music I think has to be influenced a little by him after reading about and admiring his relentless work attitude with his music. In short, his style has rubbed off.

So my question to the average orger on the street is: how have you been influenced, if at all, in ANY areas of your life, by Prince?

I have never Tried to be like him. I guess if anything his style has rubbed off. But he is a Male and I am Female you know, but well I do aspire to do the best I Can so in this way he has influenced me. Sometimes though well the Sex aspect gets in the way since he's just so Handsome.

I wish I had the guts to wear some of the stuff he wears,a lot of those outfits would look better on a woman anyway.

hectim

As a Kid ooops kid I was sure that when I grew up I'd ride a purple motorcycle with a Hohner telecaster on my back. Needless to say, now that I'm 30 I don't. I do own a tele though, but not a Hohner. That's about the extent.
