wait! what if Prince released a country album that was in mono sound, was all about Jehovah(i'm talking even more than TRC), and featured Faith Hill, George Strait and Billy Ray Cyrus? and possibly Larry.

i'd be first in line!

Actually, I would. It would have to be true old-school "Hillbilly" for my tastes. None of this Garth Brooks/Brad Paisley shizz.

Ever hear Little Red Corvette by the Gear Daddies? The pedal-steel guitar solo is very true to the original, but with a Spam & Grits feel.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Scary thought for the day...

If Prince DID do a country album...I betcha it would do better commercially than anything he's done recently.

Didn't Prince played in his studio once with Bonnie Rait??
I do not really know exactly when, but it was in the early 90ties..

Yeah, but she's more Blues than Country. Anyways, hmmm if Prince did country...uh..I reckon I'd go out and buy it just to see how he'd pull it off.

If you listen carefully, you'll find that the song Purple Rain actually is a country song...

I reckon if he brought his own distinctive flavour to it and did it properly, it could be good. I like a bit of proper country. Johnny Cash not DOlly Parton.

Would I buy it? It would depend on what country you were talking about.

If it was an Axis of Evil country, definitely not. Gotta support my President.
