Marshall Crenshaw Has put out a horrible version (IMHO) of Take me With U on his new album.
Sorry if it's old news but I only just heard it.

co-sign. He's a famous fruit - Cranshaw melon. It's very tasty, but look for it on sale, cause it's usually expensive. *****************************************

He also had a few 'biggish' hits (in the UK anyway) in the early '80s. Only one I can remember is 'You're my favourite waste of time'.

He also did a song called "Someday Someway" back in the early 80s. He was one of the original members in BEATLEMANIA as well. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. Actually, you're both right. Marshall Crenshaw composed the song & had his own version & Paul Owen also did a cover of it. I'm only familiar with Crenshaw's version: it was on a compilation LP called "Attack of the Killer B's" (a compilation of B-Sides) which coincidentally had The Time's "Grace" on it.
