EXACTLY HOW MANY guitars does Prince play and what are the names of each one? Can anyone post a pic of them all too?
I am curious to know, and this is the best place to get the answer as my ORG FAMILY ROCKS!

(yes.. I do lurk more than I post, but this is something I have been wondering about )

He has multiple copies of some of them, and not all of them have names.

there is a picture in the 1990 'Nude Tour'-Tourbook of his total collection, they are a lot!

In the Purple House performance on the Rave DVD he also refers to the guitar he is playing, the blue cloud guitar, as "habibi"...so I think he just generally refers to his custom-made guitars with this name (it means "baby" in Hebrew, I think).

Anyone want to scan in or has that Nude tour pic of all his guitars of that era? That would be awesome!

Well for starters, guitars I've seen him with are:
Blue Cloud Guitar
White Cloud Guitar
Back Cloud Guitar with Batman inlays
(Yellow one is now in a museum I believe. I also understand he has them painted so there's no telling how many there are)
Ibanez Jazz Guitar George Benson gave him
New Lake Placid Blue Fender Stratocaster
Purple and Gold Love Symbol models
Auenwalder or something like that guitar with sustain bow (the 'funk guitar from lovesexy era')
White stratocaster (early on)
Hohner telecaster (!)
Flower-painted telecaster circa Parade tour
Natural Finish telecaster circa Parade tour
Acoustic with heart-shaped hole
Les Paul jnior w/fake fur and lights (?) on it (early on)
I also once saw him with a FENDER telecaster(I think it was in the Housequake.com photo-archives), that was sort of doctored to look alittle like the hohner (but it was butterscotch and had I think a Fender bridge)

AND YEAH PLEASE SOMEONE SCAN THE DAMN PROGRAM!!!

i think i remember when he was 'interviewed' for Guitar Player back in 94 or 95 he said he had something like 35 guitars.
my fave is the hohner telecaster. he played it loads on the ONA tour and it sounded great.

i remember also a white symbol guitar (emancipation concert ) ?

but the one from the alphabet st. video is the best, love the way it sounds on the question of u (nude tour performance).

There is also the "eye" guitar from the 94 Soul Train appearence. It's pretty plain shaped, white with a big purple eye on it.
