With all these instrumentals, a concert with no talking or singing, it kind of makes me think Prince may have had nodes taken off his voice box secretly. Many singers have problems later in life with nodes on the vocal cords, from improper abuse of the cords. Prince is not the greatest singer around, so he may have did some damage. Why he would hide it is just Prince being Prince. But throat surgery may explain his recent silent treatment. At least, I hope it does.

I'm inclined to agree.Years of those screams just may have taken their toll.Who knows?

BTW, prince is one of the best male singers to ever walk the earth, his vocal range is incredible.I know he said himself he's not the best singer and he just likes the sound of his voice, but i reckon he was just being modest.

he didn't have no throat surgery. look at you lot getting all worked up over an idea that someone has. he could have had throat surgery, who knows, but i doubt it.

Chaka Khan was at The Woman Of Color Expo and Prince was there and Chaka even made an Inuendo that he was there and should Perform and still he didn't and then Larry Graham , Maceo, Candy they all were onstage with Converstaion Piece and Prince never played. I so wanted him to play.

Prince never sings off-key?!? Jesus christ, he might not be the worst singer in the world either, but let me just tell you from the evidence of my bootleg collection (and the backing vocals from his 90s output for that matter - no wait... they are just harmonies ) he does sing off-key, OFTEN.

He certainly doesn't have a proper singing technique, so I wouldn't be suprised if he would have managed to damage himself.
