the Amazing new DVD..

I've read an awful lot about the new live DVD on this website and most of the time it's very, very negative. Yes the video quality isn't the best I've seen. Yes it would've been great to hear it in 5.1 or DTS. Yes it could have been longer than 80 minutes. I agree with all of these sentiments but please admire it for what it is! Amazing! I am happy to have 80 minutes of this beautiful inspiring piece of work than have 3 hours of sub-par material from some other artist. Anybody reading this who is unsure whether to buy and who is a serious fan, don't waste time. Get it.You will not be disappointed. Bewarned though, this is not about Prince playing the nostalga act( the hits) it is about Prince the musician, the artist, the performer. The glass IS half full.

More stunning visual proof that Prince is still the best live performer that you can see on earth today.

For "Sometimes It Snows In April" and "Whole Lotta Love" alone, it's well worth the price.
Prince is a brilliant musician, he's got a great band and the dvd is wonderful.

Much agreed...

The guitar solos...as usual, are to die for!

The Ozzy Osbourne... Prince's humor was, is and will always be a treat.

The Band... nuff said.

And last but not least...RHONDA IS SO DAMN FINE! LAWD! The hair, the lips, the unmentionables, above the bass and below her neck wink, the riffs, the versatility as a bassist, makes her TRUELY a sexy muthafucka.

Oooh Wee! That's a fine woman!

I usually skip over 1+1+1 is 3 on TRC but the DVD version is too funky!!! I love the part when he directs everyone to follow his dancing lead! And the part with Maceo where they are standing next to each other jamming!

Shit, The Ride is tight, the Zepplin cover is awesome.

I like the DVD!

I like it. It's short. Production sucks ass. But well worth the price for Whole Lotta Love and The Ride just by themselves. Those tracks pretty much kicked my ass.

I loved the whole thing music-wise. But 1+1+1=3, Gotta Broken Heart Again, and Strollin/U Want Me were my favorite highlights. I love Everlasting Now live, but I've heard better live versions of it than the one here.

The sound really could've used a little more work on this thing. And visually there are some interesting moments, and then some effective moments... but overall, I'm pleased. The band was amazing and Prince was great too, as always. I only want more!

The funk numbers fare well...the jazz is kinda quiet storm blah to me. Not enough sexin', too much gentlemanly posturing. And throughout his vocals seem like afterthought (though not on gotta broken heart...amazing)

I love it, I love it, I love it...Prince looks so fine in this DVD it's scary...Does that man age??? I've seen so many concerts over the year, and I'm truly upset that this was one I missed. All the NPGMC members on the stage just jamming with him, was friggin awesome. The whole DVD is a treat, my son and I were dancing around the living room, just jamming ...and my son is only 2 gotta start them young!!
