For a superstar, he's actually made very few high-class videos..I mean up to the standard of Madonna or Michael Jackson
I would say his best are Sexy MF and Raspberry Beret.

I love America and Anotherlover but not as much as my other choices.

i love heaven! that would be my second choice. they are well made, which is more than i can say for most of his videos. most of the videos he has made i could recreate easily with a dig cam and a comp, if not make them better

too true. particularly for someone who came to prominence in the 80's, many of his videos leave something wanting. i love the neverending loop feel, the soft colors, and animation of "Heaven."

I like that one where he's playing guitar, wearing those funky clothes, and dancing around and shit. That was the bomb. nod

Well, to determine this then we must look at it this way. Let's say we put a Prince video in a time capsule and send it to the future. If someone in the very disatant future happens to come across this video, what would it be? What video captures the truest definition of who Prince was and what he stood for?

My votes on...America!!!

U Got the Look because it is a bold, wild statement compared to anything out at the time. This usually consisted of a concert made into a video, a party just gone weird into a video, or some fool singing "your butt is mine..." to Wesley Snipes.
Prince also made a great and hilarious video in 1986 called "Under the Cherry Moon" to promote the "Songs of Parade." This movie had people not expected another "Purple Rain" type drama, and had it been billed as a comedy would have probably quadrupled the sales of a GREAT LP. Think about it

Pagey

U know what is depressing...I am a huge fan, have been for about 20 years now, but I have seen very few of his videos. Only the really big hits of the 80s and a few in the 90s. The only reason I have seen Mountains is because its at the end of UTCM. I have only seen Gett Off, Alphabet St, Gold, & TGRES once & never have seen Anotherlover..., Girls & Boys, SOTT, America, I Would Die 4 U, and a lot of other lesser known songs. I just wasn't that into MTV when I was a teenager so I missed out big time back then.

The ones that I have seen...I think Mountains is the best, but I also love I Could Never Take The Place of You Man.
