As someone who was in attendance and has seen hundreds of Prince shows live I thought the show was the 3rd worst I have ever seen him perform. IMO he just walked through it and it was standard to below average.
Only worse shows I have seen were the shows ending the first two Celebrations. | |

Mill City. I was there and it was a long-ass day of walkin' and standin'. I loved Prince's set, Prettyman being a highlight for me. One of the great things about it was that The Time had just finished playing up the street, so they were like his opening band that night.
I also loved the first year's Celly show. Lovemachine, what up? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

I went also it was fine. Minneapolis is real nice in september... I liked it. It's one of my favorite's It was the last time I was in MPLS... Loved the city actually... Luvy and I definitely will be going to visit... Minnesota...

My sis and I were there. We had a great time. Got to see the Steeles, the Time, Alex O'Neal and Prince all in one weekend. I think this was one of the last shows where Mayte danced (after being absent for most of the time they were married) and it was also cool to see Prince get the key to the city. "Pretty Man" was definitely a hilarious highlight. I'm not surprised that there is a bootleg of this show because there were a TON of people taping it from various places surrounding the stage--out of security's reach. | |
