Well IM sure we have all heard these arguments from people.
One of my faves is the "Prince needs to be more commercial" to regain his TOP 40 and album sales. Can we bury this shit argument already, do u really want PRINCE in a top 10 with the BAD BOYS II soundtrack, Ashanti and Chingy and of course Fifty Cent. Lets face it, PRINCE could never sell to the kids that buy the majority of CDS today, they would have to actually think while they listen and that aint going to happen. And yes I would rather PRINCE play with MACEO AND LARRY then duet with FIFTY CENT to a NEPTUNE beat to have a "hit" in these times.
And another thing that annoys me is that complaint we all hear about how PRINCE doesnt make money, OK lets bury his right now. I manage in Retail ad work with company buyers, Princes Latest NEWS sells to "stores" at a price of 13.98 per cd. Now even if PRINCE after manufacturing costs clears about half of that, 7 dollars a CD at retail is unheard of for any artist, even if PRINCE only sells 25,000 of these to retail thats still a nice piece of change, not counting the Cd copies sold to NPGMC members. So cut the crap already, Prince is getting Paid, and even if he wasnt, when did we all become his accountants or Business manager. So stop all these lame arguments, lets bury them all FACE DOWN like PRINCE buried 1999.

That's True. Prince is in a League of his Own and he doesn't have to be a Rap Dude and all. But if he wanted to do that again well all he would need was some Sexy dancing girls cheering him on.

i can think of a few more:

1. he isn't funky anymore

2. he doesn't cuss anymore

3. he hasn't colaborated with wendy & lisa (this one takes the cake)

4. he hangs out with larry grahm

5. he isn't sexual anymore

6. he doesn't sing anymore (this one is fairly new, but still annoying)

1. Prince isn't a good businessman. Duh?
2. Prince should leave the jazz/instrumentals alone.
3. Prince doesn't service his fans with quality product. the money for extravagant artwork, superior digitial quality, etc probably went down the drain once ties were severed with Warner. Name one independent artist who does these things with independent money and I'll remove it from my list

5. The influence of Jehovah's Witnesses have ruined Prince personally and musically.
6. Prince doesn't listen to the fans. despite releasing the jazz, acoustic guitar, piano and live and vault material which has been requested in the past 7 years
7. How dare Prince even ask for my bootlegs. if the thought of it wasn't reasonable, it should have been ignored by those who felt it was a dumb request. It's not like Prince or any representative of Paisley Park/NPGMC said they were going to come and ransack your homes for the material
8. Where's the ___ album he promised (i.e. Roadhouse Garden, 7 Disc Sampling set) if you're still waiting on these project you should also be waiting for copies of the proposed live Controversy album with the supporting live video

Roadhouse Garden and 7 Disc Sampling Sets were never "promised" The sampling set was advertised with "coming soon", which was not a good business tactic but it wasn't promised. The point is we would have never known what the fuck we could have had during the Warner years if it weren't for Per Nielsen's research. Knowing the type of decision maker Prince is I wouldn't bitch about Roadhouse Garden especially if The Flesh Sessions never saw the light of day.

My point is without someone doing the research, we wouldn't have known shit about what might have been.
