simply because it is SOMETHING TO find wrong with it.

musically & lyrically (tho religious) it is as perfect an album that Prince has made.

now i don't see the big deal about the deep voice.
i love it.
always love it when it pops up in Prince's stuff.
it's something kooky,different.
it's like another person there narrating the stories,but it is Prince's voice.
Like Eddie Murphy playing 10 roles in Nutty Professor or something.

I just think it is something people have 2 find wrong with it,so they pick on that.
I find little things wrong with releases so i'm not saying i don't do this.
in a previous thread, i picked up on a lil flaw i thought 2 b taking away from the experience of NEWS.

He spread it on way too thick. A little of the voice goes a long way. It coulda been very cool, instead it became a distraction, a barrier to the music.

For me, the biggest distraction by far was the lyrics. Prince, even as great as your music sounds, you ain't gonna convert me with enigmatic JW references. Or as we say here at the org, "wrong forum."

That was Prince??? For the last year and a half I thought TRC was a Barry White album.

I don't like it cause it's preachy and sounds like an out-dated special affect used by someone who still thinks it's cool , instead of noticing the irony of it.
I don't mind voice-overs persé, but I hate segues (like the one on the symbol album). It always ends up like a morality lesson that we allready had years ago.
