is it me or did Prince do this intentionally

i think he intended the ONA project to be a multi-part project.

1. One Nite Alone piano cd
2. One Nite Alone Tour
3. One Nite Alone...Live! box set
4. One Nite Alone DVD

that looks like a concerted effort on his part to get something in the hands of the fans that looks like a whole instead of just one-offs. it's bloddy obvious. well done Prince.

If you belong to the NPGMC & visit Prince.org on a daily basis the impression is the PrinceWorld is very poorly run, no planning, a big mess. Product distribution problems, unhappy club members, lawsuits, etc. But when you look back on The Rainbow Children thru to the new DVD you can see the planning behind the scenes. Sometimes it seems Prince & his cohorts find the most difficult way to do things. They get it right but the process is so damn painful.

Mmm...a tour, a live cd of the tour and a live dvd of the same tour. And all UNDER THE SAME NAME. Amazing planning there! Oh, and the tour was named after the last album released, also really exceptional.
I'm sorry, i was wrong, prince really is a commercial genius.

The DVD is titled 'Prince Live at the Aladdin Las Vegas', not 'One Nite Alone'. As I haven't got the DVD yet I am not sure whether they refer to the ONA Tour somewhere in the DVD liner notes or in the final credits.

"a concerted effort", "a whole" and "well done" appeared to say he had done a great marketing job on the thing.

well i don't know if he did have a marketing idea behind this output. all i know is that it makes sense if he did and IF he did and that was the idea then i guess he did a good job. that's all i'm saying.

Its a prophecy. Sooner or later he's gonna run out of fans, and one night he'll be sittin on stage alone playin to himself.

I wish "One Night Alone" was just Prince..alone. Like Springsteen did a few years ago, and Rickie Lee Jones. Just Prince and a bass, then on piano, then on guitar. Now that would be groundbreaking and truly memorable..

Maybe Prince and like four or five of those fucking animatronic gorillas that play for kids at places like Chuck E. Cheese and Circus Circus while they mow their greasy, shitty pizza. That would've been cool.

Granted, they could only play The Beatles' Happy Birthday and some Beach Boys tunes, and you'd hear the apes' gears moving, but it'd still be better than Kirky J.

And Prince wouldn't have to pay the gorillas.

Quantum physics tries to explain the behavior of even smaller particles. These particles are things like electrons, protons, and neutrons. Quantum physics even describes the particles which make these particles! That's right; the model of an atom that you were taught in high-school is wrong. The electrons don't orbit like planets; they form blurred clouds of probabilities around the nucleus. Protons and neutrons? They're each made of three quarks, each with its own 'flavor' and one of three 'colors'. Lets not forget the gluons, the even smaller particles that hold this mess together when they collect and form glueballs (not a very original name).

Yeah, probably and most likely... The ONA project is being driven to the ground... But it's cool... If NPG ain't makin nothin new. They can push out the hash as long as they get the cash... The ONA piano CD was great though, on it's own. But I don't think it needed 4 parts to make it known... ONA |PIano CD could have stood alone... and another project could have fronted the music on the NPGMC brand new level... But it was not made to be so... wink
