Next thing to bitch about....... Well I think I know what the next thing is that Alot of people are going to bitch about, I feel this one coming on in the next few months. Prince is going to tour, he will play small clubs, tickets will be high priced and he will plaay only Jazz like clubs and he will not sing, only instrumentals, I can see it now let the bitching begin, well not from me, I would love a small "jazz" club tour, here in NYC thats all we have are small jazz clubs, so bring it on P. this would be a great show! my friend, rob, and I have been saying for years (since emancipation) that we would be happy if prince would pull out some of that crazy, heady jazz that's been locked away for so long and just start recording it and releasing it and touring it! i would be content if prince stuck with jazz for the rest of his career. but, now, don't get me wrong...i want it to be GOOD jazz. i could do without 20 years of NEWS styled stuff. i'm talking about the shit he kicked with miles, the revolution, and others. that sound that was on the songs 'rainbow children', 'come', and the small live after show jams. that jazzfunksoulrock blend thang he does. yeah, i could hear that for years!

i guess there's no pleasing everybody. when he does sing, a lot of people moan about what he's saying or how he's saying it. now he's taking a break from vocals and that's not cool either. oh well...you win some, you lose some.

he'll make zero deniro
He better remember his past when he hits the road (The hits) cause there is a majority who come for that.. I highly doubt its a minority.

Just like the people in L.A. the other night, halfway through the show, you'll be so tired of it, you'll be BEGGING him to sing.

Prince does sing, but with his guitar and in his music! I think it would be wonderful for him to tour like this. NEWS is a superb album of music, it probably says more than words could... Prince is a musician, not a pop singer, his recent tour ONA, was fantastic, but I think it is quite superb that he is considering doing a non-vocal tour...
Jazz is expressive music, and Prince has always given so much expression in his music, beyond the vocal. This is truly a new direction, I would pay £££££'s to see this. I so hope he brings it to London, I can see it now, at the Jazz Cafe, or Ronnie Scotts - bring it on I say, and he doesn't need to sing! Prince, London is the coolest city on the planet - bring your jazz tour here - we are ready for the cool of you - And if you play a non-vocal jazz version of Dorothy Parker, I'll be in heaven forever. Dorothy Parker was... cool!

well i say that i'd be looking forward to it. i guess i'm a convert to his indtrumental music. News really hipped me to that. anyway, i guess it would just be an extension into new territory. yes, jazz is not new but Prince never really got into it i guess the way he wanted to when he was with WB so now's his chance.
rock on Prince. | |

I've only been to one Prince concert in my life, at the huge Boston Garden. Seeing him at an intimate venue, playing anything at all, would make me one happy little Pimpstress. This idea doesn't interest me too much, but I'd probably still go just to see Prince.

If he does do an all jazz tour, there better be a special window that pops up on Ticketmaster that states he won't be singing, or there will be a lot of upset people!!!

I would LOVE 2 see an instrumental set from Prince. He's still the most creative musician on the planet and 2 witness him stretching out musically, taking long solos and stuff would be amazing. The musicians he played with on the last tour are among the best he's ever had. Christ... Maceo, Candy, Rhonda, John Blackwell...
It really don't get much better Prince and the Band

Um, I predict that asskissing muppets on this site will jump down the throats of anyone who dares to criticize this hypothetical tour. Am I special now? So you think we'll be bitching about high priced tickets. Hmmm, I guess you have a lot of money then huh? I guess, money grows on the trees you got in your backyard, huh? I guess money is not a thought in you daily life, right? So I guess if money isn't a thought for someone, then they wouldn't trip. But for those of us that work for it and don't have the luxury to throw away money, yeah I guess we would trip on it. Since he's not making a lot of money now, he's got to get it from somewhere...us. Instrumentals are cool, but bring on the FUNK, ROCK and R&B, i miss that about Prince. Enough of this instrumental stuff. I don't mind hearing it at shows as long as it doesn't take up most of the show. Rudedog
