Does Prince see himself as some pseudo-Prophet? All throughout his career he has made songs about Armageddon and the Second Coming.
The lyrics to the Rainbow Children can be interpreted (most obviously) as some sort of telling of this phenomenom. If this is the case, what do you think Prince's motivations are for relaying this 'information' (i.e. opinion) to us? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think the themes like Armagedon and Second Coming are the product of his upbringing. In the case of The Rainbow Children, he is symbolically preaching door to door. He is taking the JW religion seriously. | |
