I'd rather have it than nothing at all.

It's scary when this is the nicest thing anyone can say about it!

...Now back to the silence...

Personally, I like it and I'm satisfied the music is in stereo. Don't really care about the 5.1 DTS because I don't have all of that surround sound shit in my house. It's not extravagant, but neither was the tour. So, I feel it was worth the $.

It was worth the $14.00 and shipping. Too bad I bought 2.

Hopefully someone will want to trade or buy it from me.

Hmm... not the best in terms of the tracklist.

Peace
COCOMF !!

unfortunately, the dvd is not necessarily visually stunning in the degree to which it makes you feel like you were there . . even if you were. I don't know . . . the ONA show possessed a definite visual appeal that perhaps just can't be captured. And of course there is the much belittled track listing . . . .

fortunately, I have been able to get passed that. I would encourage everyone to rip the audio off the set. When I just listen to the music - be it at home or in the car - the setlist makes more since . . . and the music really is stunning. Prince and the bad really did put a lot of effort into that show . . and you can hear it. The tracks even can be mixed with some tracks from the ONA Live Box Set to create what turns out to be a really jamming set.

What? You ain't got one yet?

It's awesome -- the Lovesexy era photos, the Mandarin Chinese set list, the Portuguese female impersonator in the platinum blonde Afro wig introducing each number from his seat in the balcony!

And the title says it all: "Prince -- Live at the Alladdinn - Los Vegas -- The New Master."

No doubt, it's authentic. I got plenty of extra copies if anyone wants to buy one!

just came back from watching it at the theatre. the music and performance was great. it can really be enjoyed as an audio disc. as for the production...well, i'm glad it came with the cost of membership.

if anyone wants to convert it and send me an audio version, i would gladly pay for the disc, shipping and the time spent transferring. i don't think i'll be purchasing.

that said, thanks to Prince for a really fun night out with great people and great music! it was so cool to finally meet some of the folks i chat with on the org!

stymie, youngca, anxiety and (last but not certainly not least) eleven...it was my pleasure to shake you hands!

well . . . I'm sure there might be a few ways to do it, but I did it rather quickly by following some of the instructions found here http://www.dvdripguides.com/

click the menu selection on the left for dvd rip guides . . and then choose one of the ripping formats - I choose rip to mpeg2 svcd. It doesn't really matter since you don't have to go through the entire process to get the audio. First you will use smartripper to rip the VOB files off the dvd. I did this a chapter at a time to capture each song individually, but you can rip the entire concert at once if that is your desire. Then you will use dvd2avi, which takes the VOB file and splits it up into audio and video segments. The audio will be in wave format - which you can reformat to mp3 using programs like musicmatch jukebox, or you can just leave it like it is (if you have the room). The smartripper/dvd2avi process takes about four minutes per song. Its really quick . . in fact, you'll probably spend more time reading the instructions through the first time than you will ripping the rest of the dvd. good luck . . its really easy and will add a new dynamic to your live dvd's.

oh . . btw . . . links are provided on the above webpage to all the software that you will need . . .
