A friend has a theory about the low visual quality... ...on the new dvd.
A friend of mine watched the entire dvd and said regardless of the quality, it is one of the best concert dvd's he's ever seen because of the intensity of the performances and the great tone of the sound. but he noticed that parts seem sharp and other parts didn't... his deduction: parts of the footage were slightly zoomed in and then recomposed for better framing and editing (to better fit into surrounding shots) This also was a result of them using artificial video effects like digital camera shake to make things more exciting... zooming in on the frame results in less resolution, and on tv that looks like stair stepping diagonals and blurry faces. I wonder what the video's director intended? Man...if the org ever discovers this thread, you're gonna BURN. --Teller

P (or the director) probably thought it would make it look "Arty" or "Cutting edge"

TO make it look as visually unappealing as possible, I would guess from the very low quality of it. For gods sake, the cinematoghraphy on this film makes the Blair Witch Project look lik Lawrence of Arabia by comparison Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

I'll still watch it regardless. Prince is on it.
