This is an excellent promo. I hope it gets wide distribution on the internet on various music sites. I think it's nice that it combines old and new with different samples of various works. | |

Sorry to say so, but this is the worst promo i have seen in my entire life! No lay out, no proper design.. it screams like a cheap sex advert, and i don't believe it has anything to do with prince and his camp... and if so, fire the goddamn graphic designer! Hell what a louzy job! Ofcourse there are people who like this, it's flashy, it's informative, if 'moves' and glims and shines like plastic diamonds - it's like an advert for some kind of second hand fair.. i'm sorry to say so, but i don't point fingers to the ones who like this. Prince lost it when it comes to graphic design the last couple of years.
I didn't like the OneNiteAlone boxset- the layout sucks! The same goes for One Nite Alone, the piano album. As well as for N.E.W.S., my god what a complete idiot release, even the text design, it's just plain aweful! The RainbowCHildren too was weak and crappy when it comes to the booklet. Even prince at the side of the CD in 'green'! it doesn't suit him at all (not in that particular 'green'). Let alone the design for the RaveUn2.. and Rave In2.. CDs they were pretty shit as well. Look at other major artists' releases nowadays. That's a little bit better, but still... Prince was topleading graphicdesign as well as fashionmaster untill Batman in 1989. after that he really lost it all. Grafitti Bridge? My god, RUN!  The gold Experience? Come?? New Power Soul??? Emancipation???
The Hits were more or less ok, but not much of an interesting package, but hey, that was WB playing it safe for once! Prince had no hand in that. | |

Personally, I thought the album design for Come was fantastic. So dark and moody. Really made you ponder the whole "Prince is dead" thing... | |
