The Ride
The Undertaker Jailhouse Rock House in Order Call the Law Heart in my hand Power of Love In the mood Peach Its basically an aftershow from 1993 at Bagley's Warehouse in London. It features Mavis Staples, The Steeles and Mayte. There is also interviews with some crowd members, interspersed with the performance. The show itself is about 46 minutes long. Glad I could be of assistance. ] [This message was edited Sun Aug 17 3:18:21 PDT 2003 by JDINTERACTIVE]

Aside from what was mentioned above by "JDIINTERACTIVE", as you may know, "The Ride" seems to have an unlimited number of different versions, and if I had to choose just one version that I like the best, "The Ride" from The Sacrifice of Victor video would be it. It has a very Hendrix-like style to it - very ruff and grungy like. Not at all like the version that was put on Crystal Ball or The Undertaker.
"Peach" is also given a different treatment with a lot more grunge to it - it's also very ruff around the edges. Prince doesn't really sing the lyrics to "Peach" in this version. Instead, he pretty much screams the lyrics throughout the song. The rest of the video, while nice, may be a bit of a let down in the sense that Prince takes on more of the role of "band member" instead of "band leader" while the center stage is given to his accompanying band members such as Mavis and the Steeles and gasp... Tony M. But still definitely worth having as a collector's item. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the video contains the best version of "Call the Law" I've heard. I really like the guitar work Prince does throughout the song. Thanks to this I can even stand Tony's annoying rapping. ______________

oh God I know. How many times does Tony say 'Step to the mic' at the beginning of the song? about 609 million times. then he says something like 'one, one, one, one' but really really fast and itr sounds like he saying 'kjdskjg'jhgasjhgs'khjgasjkhag'. he is so bad.
