I know we have all had to visit the topic of how great Price is on guitar (is he better than Hendrix or why is he so underrated, etc). But as I get up into the tripe digits for the number of times I have played the One Nite Alone disc, I am amazed with his keyboard work. His playing has a depth and texture that one only finds on the better striaght ahead jazz recordings. Herbie Hancock (the traditional jazz Herbie, not the 'Rockit' Herbie) or Ahand Jamal come to mind for me. I would encourage you to sit down, put on some GOOD quality headphones, and cue up the ONA disc if you like the sound of a man who knows how to tickle those ivories in a serious way.
