"SOTT" as performed @ the Vegas '02 aftershow... I can't describe what was different about this performance but the version that night was SIZZLING - nice & long, energetic, fucking HOT!!!
Does anyone know if this has surfaced anywhere? And if that's an improper question has he ever performed a similar version @ any recent show? I'm dyyyin heeere! Thanks for any info

He played SOTT at Manchester 2nd night in both the soundcheck and main show. And it rocked. Big Time.

On the European tour of ONA he played it at every venue in the concerts except for the London shows, the first Mancehester show, Hamburg and Berlin. It was played every night bar two in Japan.
It was also played at aftershows, starting from The New Marquee, London October 6th am. As mentioned above, it was also played during a soundcheck. Basically it played more oftten than not. I can't compare the Vegas p[erformance to others because I haven't heard the Vegas performance. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

That's exactly my dilemma! There was something unique (to me @ least) about the Vegas performance. I can't put my finger on it exactly but there's just something special about it. I've heard it on some other recent ONA shows & they don't compare. I guess I just gotta keep looking But if there's anyone who was @ the Vegas show that knows what I'm talking about, holla @ me Giotto!!

Hey Calhoun Square! Good to see you (and your always lovely avatar)!!!
I agree with you that the SOTT played at the Vegas aftershow was incredible. It took my breath away. I remember thinking how stunning the version was. SOTT is not a high fave of mine so when I found myself blown away I was even more surprised. You are right in saying there was something indescribably (sp?) different about the performance. Unfortunately, I have not seen anything surface from that performance if you know what I mean. Apparantly security was very tight that night. I didn't know you were there. My hubby and I were 5th row center at the concert (right behind Bobby), but hung back at the aftershow. Wish I could be of more help to you, but I find myself in the same boat. Hoping to hear the experience again, but I find it's not happening. I'm firmly planted in denial

i was there too! what about in the soundcheck when he took his guitar off and left lay it on the floor screaming its ass off in feedback distress. amazing. I think he felt let down by the audience participation on that track though. he turned the mic on us during the soundcheck and the response wasnt that great. You do as I say
