Thank God for the Org and its abundance of brilliant, sarcastic posters. Ian said it all --- anyone who is too busy taking care of themselves and their loved ones to support Prince in some sort of nebulous Cause really needs to look at their priorities.

That's a pretty outrageous accusation...and pretty vague as well. Who did Warner Brothers drug, when did they do it, why, and what did they do it with? Did they slip Prince ecstacy so that he wouldn't release the Black Album? wink

i just love that some people have actually said "i feel like i owe it to him" to help out. that's what cracks me up! it's like they have never paid for any of their prince stuff. you know, he just handed all those cds over, free of charge. HA!

whatever. i can't be fucked to spend my money helping the rich get richer. if this was ruly about ownership rights and art, he would haave been interested in helping the other artists who've contacted him about the same thing. the fact that he doesn't give free advice to aspiring musicians via his music club also speaks volumes.

i dont understand y the org is against the npgmc so much.

The Org consists of - by and large - intelligent, articulate, informed people. They don't like this over at NPGMC. They delete our posts and ban us. We don't like it. We say so. This is OUR place.

Anyway i think Prince may try 2 call a lawsuit on Warner Bros. 4 the infrigment of using his music 2 promote their fat wallets. i think it was a downright good thing.

What do you know about WB? The only reason you're a Prince fan is because of something he released on WB! Their wallets are fat? They got fat on YOUR money too.

I don't know how you figure this. Any internet search on Prince turns up the Org among its first results. The Org is also mentioned in many of the articles published on Prince and his doings. I can't say exactly what percentage of Prince fans are familiar with prince.org, but it's definitely not tiny.
