Taking your own life is hardly an easy route out though? Regardless, I sincerely hope Prince dies a peaceful and natural death. And at a point where he found his happiness.

It depends on your own perspective and this is one of those instances where you have to admit it's all relative.

One of my cousins left a suicide note saying "this is the best decision I have ever made in life". He succeeded.
Who knows whether he did in fact end up regretting his decision afterwards?

It might seem a little morbid to discuss anybody's passing in view of their relatively good health and seeming enjoyment of life, but I too hope ol' scraggly head still has some more mileage left in him.

it appears to me that he's living as completely as he's ever done. Things don't seem at all empty for him anymore, at least not from a spiritual standpoint.

I concur.

I think he feels his vision is clear. I'd say there are far fewer 'yes' men nowadays than there were previously.

It certainly appears that way.

Incidentally, Anji, I will now take the opportunity to wish you all the very best. As an org commentator you have been pretty much without peer, bravely handling every conceivable situation in a considered, thoughtful and intelligent manner.

I for one will miss your thoughtful, inspirational posts which you never failed to imbue with your wit. Despite the efforts of those who at times made you the target of scorn, you never neglected treating others with dignity and respect.Your threads remain amongst the most interesting and are always a joy to revisit.

I have thouroughly enjoyed yor contributions and the org will be a much duller place without you.

At the end of the day, we musn't forget that we are commenting from a position of observers (and having some fun whilst we are doing so). But I believe we are justified in considering that such matters have such tremendous universal value that they are also a relevant part of what makes us all tick and of how we will all hopefully develop as human beings.

It's quite common that sometimes a songwriter writes from the third person perspective, even when using the pronoun "I" sometimes.

Playwrights
Screenwriters
Songwriters...they all do it.

And where's your soul, Babynova? You promised it but you have yet to deliver.

wink

I didn't? I thought I did that a while back with some other subject. I didn't? Is there anything you don't remember? mad It's not something that can be forced. I'm not feeling it yet. It'll come, but it has to flow.
