I swear to you this, when I heard this song 4 the 1st time. It sounded alot like one of the strange melodies I hear in my dreams, ya know? I must've been 2 or 3 when I heard it. It was basically apart of my Mom's Prince mixtapes. But I didn't know it was called "Erotic City". I just mimicked the lyrics in my own way. I had no idea that there was a freakiness to the song. I was just slave to the funky groove. I once called the song "Creamy Thighs" cuz I couldn't think of it's actual title. I was 15 and had to order the 12" single from the local wrecka-stow. Got home, and it blew me away. The song made me think I was doing something I shoulda oughta not do -- so I hid the record and played it when home alone. Even the friends who didn't like Prince completely dug this one. | |

I heard it on the radio in 1984 i was 13 and kickin the beats three times over when I heard the song... and I could not believe that they let Prince say "Fuck until the dawn makin love till cherrys gone" on the real deal radio... it was fuckin greeat...  | |
