I was shopping at a mall today and saw a Sam Goody, thought about a post I read here about NEWS being out at Sam Goody's, went in the Sam Goody's and LO AND BEHOLD, there it was, and as if this weren't a long enough run on sentence, I'm listening to NEWS as I type this.

It was $16.99, but I didn't care, I snatched that puppy up right quick. I couldn't believe they had it.

Interesting aside: if you were to ask a Sam Goody clerk to look up "Prince News," they wouldn't have had an entry. Sam Goody's database actually lists the album as "Prince N.E.X.T." Weird, huh?

Anyway, I don't know what everyone who is bagging on this album is talking about. I'm on my third listen and I love it. I just think he should release this kind of stuff more often because as great as I think it is, you just know that it was the easiest shit to record. He could put this kind of stuff out on a monthly basis.

Anyway, it's great to not have to join a club to get this, or to have to order it online. I'm glad I have it and am currently loving it.

You know what's better? To download the whole thing for free and skip the $16.99 waste of money. Then the file can find its way to the recycle bin once it's outstayed its welcome.

Well, as long as you enjoy it it's okay. I wouldn't pay 25 cents for it personally. I think its terrible.

I see lots of people saying why all the hate,simple.I dont think most people are happy with this release period.I hope to hell this isnt supposed to his album for the next year.If it is,hes totally lost it like everyone is claiming.

I gave up on paying for new Prince stuff after Rave. Since then, I just download stuff and dump what I don't like, which is pretty much everything. Everything Prince is releasing now should remain as side projects, not major releases for stores and such. The majority of people aren't into it, so it's a waste.

Media Play and Sam Goody are part of the same thing and I gave up asking for "N.E.W.S" and just asked for the new Prince album. They knew what I was talking about but still never got it. I gave up last week and went to an indie store a few miles away. Thanks again Torn.

I gave it a listen and liked it but to be honest I've been listening to "Bad Girls Deluxe" and the self titled "The Thorns" too much to give it another listen.
