For the prince guitar freaks here,I can't belive this when I heard the 3rd track with those oh so pretty P chords I was ready for an awsome solo. Think small club just my imagination.instead we get that tinny symbol guitar sound and really average guitar playing.
Some of you may thnk what the fuck r u on about but it seems to me, prince is more directing these crafted jams.
It says P guitar and rhodes, well there a'int much rhodes and little lead playing,mostly chicken grease funk.
this really pisses me off when he could really have gone to town on this.

Prince is such a beautiful guitar player.
I played this new c.d to a lot of frends of mine who r fans some r musicians they all thought it sucked.
lastly this music is so not new,check out Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters.
Sorry for the rant but Prince needs to listen to other people around him or his fans.

i havent heard NEWS yet,but it seems like the kinda thing where he could just jam a solo for 5minutes & kick some ass on it.

i'll have 2 wait til i hear it.
i love P's rhythm playing too,very funky.

I think especially on West, when the guitar breakdown comes, you're sooo ready for some REAL guitar. It's still cool, though.
And I totally dig those little fills he plays during the end of South.

I already said it, but New is really the most uneventful cd in my collection: few ideas, long useless songs, a real lost opportunity with such great musicians
