VICTORY! Turned anti-Prince in2 believers!!! Every1 where i work tells me they cannot stand Prince. Yet the music they like (Funk, Blues, Jazz) is SO Prince.
So I slipped N.E.W.S. on at work and hid the case. Every1 loved it. They enquired as to who this fantastic band where... to which i proudly replied... "Ahem, this erm... oh, u know, what's his name... Prince" I had to show them the cover B4 they believed me. They are now all 'sitting corrected' as I gloat. (One guy just asked me to put it on again... how the mighty have fallen) ----------

It was grossly unfair of you to let them judge the music solely on the basis of its intrinsic merit.
No album should be judged on any basis other than the reputations of the performers or against the standards of the "perfect" album they would have released if they only had the good sense to take artistic direction from the all-knowing Me. | |

I had exactly the same reaction at my job too. Th people I work with aren't really Prince-haters...they don't really care about him one way or another. But I've been playing it a lot at my desk, and have been asked repeatedly who I was listening too, and when I say Prince and they can't believe it. I have heard nothing but positive responses about NEWS. | |

THis is a great experiment to show that the mew music from PRince is usually unjustly dismissed when it is known that it is Prince.
