'No Doubt' talkin highly bout Prince

Hey I stumbled on to this online. 'No Doubt' being interview on the Kevin and Bean Show in LA (its a rock radio station).

About 3 minutes into the recording Gwyn talks about Prince and what a great man he is. He helped her with advice with the song "Ex-girlfriend.

Here's the clip, listen in about 3 mins in (if you dont care to listen to the entire thing)

correction about 4 minutes in.

The bass player Tony is really cool. He went on Australian TV wearing a "Purple Rain" t-shirt!

i was at my favourite wrecka stow today when suddenly i
heard the song "waiting room" coming from the speakers.
wow - that sounded so good to me. maybe also because
it came out of nowhere, like a surprise.
anyway, this just entered my mind while reading the thread.

the hook of "waiting room" is ...eh...awesome. brilliant.lovely. catchy. deep.

Yeah, my co-worker, purchased Rock Steady a few months ago. He runs up to me yesterday saying;

"Dude! I didn't know Prince worked with No Doubt on 'Waiting Room' and chilled with Gwen. Man he's the shit ,huh...?"

I just nodded my head in agreement. Waiting Room is a nice song, I love the constant tempo change.

I heard that; "not being able to stare him in the eyes" thing was true, I think Apollonia started it back in the 80's.

"Hella' Good" always sounded very "Prince-ish" to me.

Reminded me of "Hot Thing"

'Hella Good' is a great song, but it has got that Neptunes-stamp on it.

No Doubt is an awesome band. Tragic Kingdom sold more copies than Purple Rain. Ain't that some shit?

Well i am sure that there`s an album by Garth Brooks
that sold more copies than Purple Rain.
And that says what? Right.

There's probably a Celine damn Dion album that sold more than Purple Rain. Just tells me that some music matches the sofa better than other music...

Record sales? Who cares? What does it say about the
music? Did i say Garth Brooks is funkier? Hihihi, no.
Is No Doubt crap? I didn`t say that either.
It`s just so unimportant how many copies are sold.
If i was Tony the bassplayer and not Tony Williams , well
that`s another story.

...Uptown...

You like the artist, you buy the record. And if
you don`t, well then you don`t.

How many copies were sold of GirlsBros? And what
does that say about the music?

Anyhow i really like the album Rock Steady.

Why are you getting hostile? I was just stating a fact. Relax okay, everything is going to be just fine. Please remain calm. There's no need to panic.
