Won't you ask "U Tell Us" about the release of the Crystal Ball vol 2 , I think that after TRC & NEWS , a simple collection of "pop" songs would be more than welcomed this year am I wrong?

There is absolutely NO chance of Crystal Ball II being
released in the foreseeable future.

As far as I'm aware these were the Top 17 put forward at the 2000 Celebration.
He's had 3 years to put them out, so I'm guessing he changed his mind and gave us N.E.W.S. instead...go figure

And to be quite honest I think another shit compilation like "Crystal Ball" will only SUCK...
He should release songs chronologically, like all songs from '85 projects on one disc, all songs from '86 projects on another etc. etc.
But by the way the idiot lives now we'll never get the "real" good stuff... He'll butcher the songs like shit, edit the crap out of em, so it'll become a turd release like "Crystal Ball"...

So IMHO he can keep all that old stuff, I'll be happy to wait until he's dead and someone will release all that stuff unedited...

Crystal Ball II was almost completed very soon after the
2000 Celebration, and was all set to be produced ready
for a 2001 release (the fams picking their favorite tracks
thing at the Celebration was mostly for show, Prince had
at that point already sequenced 90% of the album).
The album was shelved when Prince decided that the lyrical
content and language on a lot of the tracks conflicted
with his current beliefs. There was also going to be a
Crystal Ball compilation video, but that was shelved for
the same reasons. At the moment there is next to no chance
of any old vault material seeing the light of day.

Is there a lot of hate towards 'Crystal Ball'? Or is it just that you think the separate CD for each year'd be better?

Plus (I know this is a bit off-topic) - are there many 12" mixes of things that are around? I guess there are loads more than I know of.

what P could do is to release a dirty lyrics unedited Crystal Ball 12 cd compilation and explain in the booklet that it was him before , he causes 2 become blah blah & give all the money to a JW charity foundation, if it exists

The stuff is out there, and it's A+ quality - but only a handful of people have it.

That's great for the small handful, but for the peasants Crystal Ball II would have at least been a step in the right direction, and it had a better tracklist than CB1.

Are you saying the bootleggers have the stuff, yet they choose not to put it out?

It was always my previous understanding that a relatively small group of collectors have a lot more than what the bootleggers put out, and they trade amongst themselves, and sell/trade to bootleggers, often "tagging" the songs (by editing/altering the speed, or lowering the quality of them in order to track the song, and to sell/trade a better quality version at a future date, thus expanding the profitability of each track.

Am I blowing smoke, or is this what happens/happened?

these titles aren't on any bootlegs ( and in A+ quality sound) are they? somebody tells me
