I think it's Roger. This debates been going on 4 years. He was named after his Dads stage name. It was the Prince Roger Trio. | |

His birth certificate says "Roger", but, as has been widely circulated, the "Roger" surname was purposely amended much later on by Prince himself.
Therefore, the current legal apellation of Rogers would be quite accurate. A similar but more debatable parallell is the case of Elvis' birth certificate, which states that his second name is "Aron", evidently as a result of a mistake made by either his parents or a registrar. However, it is interesting to note that, for the sake of accuracy, Elvis's grave now bears the inscription Elvis Aaron Presley, seemingly in a bid to correct said mistake. The above cases are actually not that unusual and individuals are frequently at liberty to choose a different name or apellation through legal means for a fee. . Birth certificates, especially back in the day were quite often misspelled. Don't use that as you're best evidence peeps.
