Hi - I'm not pimping anything here, but I was just wondering if any of you all ever sell your Prince music on eBay? I'm just wondering if there is any market for it... I'd quite like to sell off some of my old videos, 12" singles, 7" singles, and audio cassettes but some of them are quite rare and I'd hate to see them sell for peanuts. Do Prince collectors actually bother checking eBay each week for new stuff on sale, or is there a better place to sell my wares?

Well, I'm not really a "collector", I never was. Prince's CD albums are enough for me really. My interest in Prince has waned recently, so just having the albums that I love is good enough. Most of my "collection" has just been sitting in boxes unappreciated for more than 10 years!

I definitely don't need my cassettes or vinyl any more, since I don't even own a record player or a cassette player nowadays!

Don't worry, my appreciation of Prince's music has survived name-changes, symbols, comebacks, disappointments, music clubs... no matter how badly Prince tries to piss off fans and screw up his career, it isn't gonna stop me digging the old albums that I love!

Ive plugged many holes in my collection via ebay. Its well worth it. If Ur lucky U can pick up a decent bootleg or 2, but U gotta be quick be4 the moderators spot 'em!

Ah well. Who cares really... none of it is THAT good. All the good stuff is on the albums. The rest is all remixes and second-rate B-sides. As I said, I'm not a Collector, I don't mind not having everything, as long as I have the good stuff

Er, but CD audio is far superior to MP3 compression. As great as MP3 compression is, it is still lossy. MP3s are fine for what they are, but they are not a replacement for proper CD audio.

I've considered putting the whole pile for sale on eBay cuz I have all the stuff on CD now and I haven't touched 'em in years...though my "If I Were Your Girlfriend" cassette single is pretty cool looking, that might be hard to say goodbye to...
