I found, by chance, a site that boasted that Prince was part Filipino. The last time I checked, that meant that someone in his family came from the Philipines. I'm curious about that, as I've never heard it mentioned that he had any connection to the Philipines. Like I said, the search engine is down, so I post the query. I'm afraid that I was not aware that the question of this Filipino connection had been asked previously.

Plus, you would have thought that, as this has been asked so many times before, you would have been able to answer it. Guess not.

Actually, I think I've just sussed this. Maybe Americans think that asking whether someone is from a certain country is the same as asking whether someone is a certain colour.

Finess, Black ppl in american are usually a mixture of african/Native American and Sometimes European!

The name 'African American' is used so loosely...because being african american means ur parents are from africa and came to the u.s. and then gave birth to a child, which makes u african american, due to history blk ppl have become less and less pure...Prince is a light skin blk male, whose heritage is mixed...not 100% african american, his parents both of them have mixed heritages.

As far as the filipino, I'm not sure, but it can be possible!

Ppl are silly on prince.org, because we take subjects like this and allow them to get out of hand.

Basically, illimack and NPD313 got the guist of my post. Most of the others jumped on the colour of his skin, which isn't what my post was about. The comment that 'I know that Prince is straight black because I've seen a picture of his parents' cracked me up! I didn't know that you could tell the heritage of a black person just by looking at a picture of their parents!

Anyway, I've fired off an email to the website themselves. Hopefully they'll be able to explain themselves.I guess it was stupid of me to expect to get an answer here.

As to whether Prince is gay, well, he seemed happy enough the last time I saw him...
