I wouldn't say it's the definitive collection but If you call yourself a Prince fan and don't have this , you are truly missing out.

I take it back that site is kick ass.

Who writes the reviews?

Right on the money regarding dream factory, platinum, and loose just off the top of my head.

good stuff!!!

Some of the reviews are inaccurate:

One of the versions of 'If I Had A Harem', on The Work Vol II, for example, is now acknowledged as a fake. It also states that the sound quality on The Work Vol. V is consistently high despite the fact that two of the tracks on Disc 3 had flaws in the pressing.
ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

I think track for track it's pretty much unbeatable.Sure there are flaws on a couple of tracks, but there are 331 tracks on there so you aren't stuck for choice!
I'd say if you have it you are pretty much covered.

I would never part with mine, unless, the man came and took it himself. Definitely one of the best outtake collections yet to surface. Now I just hope Sabotage remasters this set and adds everything they forgot.

They are nice sets, but that part of the work that was on the Deposition, Those tracks can be found in even better quality.. They dont even match the works..

One of them, Soul Sanctuary is not playable on Volume Five. Volume Two has a flaw in "100 MPH".

And both songs were handed out in .wav and .ape format for people to download.

Got an original set
Tres cool

Pity about Soul Santuary though, you'd think they would have had the set proof heard disc by disc... like SSancuary 'stalls' - urgh, hello??!

Glass master issue at the factory, it was all pressed before the flaw was spotted. Nothing they could do then save for a repressing...and they wouldn't go to the expense of that.

So the downloads hopefully made up for this problem.
