The revolution Hi. I was wondering if any official explanation was ever given (by a band member, employee etc..) in explaining why 'The Revolution' were so named. Any ideas? You do as I say | |

I'm guessing it was the same reason Andre Anderson was renamed Cymone, and Sheila "yummy yummy" Esovedo was shortened to Sheila E.. The same reson Denise Matthews was renamed Vanity and Patricia Kotero renamed Appolonia, and the Rivkin brothers last names all changed to the letter Z., and Matt Fink renamed Dr. Fink. The same reason he called himself Jamie Starr, Camille, Joey Coco, Tora Tora,
o(+>, Alexander Nevermind, and Paisley Park. What that reason is I have NO idea but I'm sure they're all related.   Proud member of Prince's cult for 20 years! | |

I'm sure he sang a line in Partyup that said something about a 'Revolution in Rock N Roll' perhaps he revisited that a couple of years later, I always though that.  |
