Will Prince make the hall of fame? What if he didn't make the first hall of fame vote?  I dislike Prince now, but if he doesn't deserve to be in Cleveland, nobody does. :nods: If he doesn't make it, I will loose it. Just our luck, if he does make it, he won't show up to perform--bastard.

I'm torn on this - part of me would like to see Prince tell the RNRHOF to bugger off, because it's just a corporate music industry circle jerk - Ozzy and Black Sabbath have turned it down, and I believe KISS has too, and I think that's a pretty Rock n Roll thing to do... ...on the other hand, how cool was it to see the Talking Heads get back together for just one night, or to see Madonna induct Bowie with a speech about how much he's influenced her? I dunno...either way, I guess it's cool. | |

If he keeps acting like such a fucking idiot he won't get in the first time. I think he deserves to get in, but I'm not so sure he will. Besides, do you think he will even show for it? He will probably snub it like he does most everything else. IMO he should attend and knock the shit out of all the naysayers who say he's way past his prime, but my gut tells me he won't show anyway. | |

I would lose all respect for him if he accepted any "Hall of Fame" award. His music lives in the hearts and minds of people. What is the Hall of Fame for next to that? To make it "official"? Absolute rubbish.
