I had 2 go into town to do errands and decided out of curiosity to go Borders here 2 check 2 see if they had NEWS and they hadnt even got it on their databases!!! So the guy at the information desk called the store office up or might have even been the HQ here in the UK, I dont know and anyway he came back 2 me and told me some story about Prince not getting a distributing deal here in the UK so it is likely that we will never see it in this country, so I was a bit pissed so I told them that how come everywhere else in the world had it except for the UK!!!
Anyway, I was a bit stressed out about this so I decided 2 go 2 HMV 2 see if I could order it on import which u can with HMV and just as I walked into the store I saw it as large as life on the racks!!!
Anyway I decided 2 get it there and then, cos I am a bit doubtfull whether I am gonna get it on Amazon, even though I have it on pre-order with them!!! Anyway if it does come from Amazon, I can always give that copy 2 my dad as he rather liked Xpectation, so I am sure he will like this!!!
The thing is, when I hadnt received Amazons email notifying me that they had dispatched my order by yesterday(Tuesday) I decided 2 call HMV and they said that the order had been delayed!!
Apparently according to the guy 2day when I was in there there was trouble with the CD getting through customs or something,so they had 2 order a shipment on import, yet Borders said that Prince couldnt get a distributing deal here!!
So anyway I took my copy of NEWS back 2 Borders, showed them the copy and said "funny how HMV has this isnt it??? Someone is lying around here!!!"

I am convinced that Borders didnt want 2 get it in, because they were afraid that it wouldnt sell!!
The thing is, when we lived in the USA, Borders couldnt do anything wrong as far as I was concerned!! But here its a different story!! Their staff are totally clueless!!!
With HMV, they will go out of their way 2 help u locate something and get it in for u!!!
