I am on a motherfucking high! Okay, just remembered that N.E.W.S was gonna be in stores today. In Wimbledon, having seen my parents and on my way back to Kensington, wondering whether it was going to be in the record stores. Checked out Virgin records, nothing. I find out there's an HMV here, hoping it might just be there. Go in, ask. Feeling nervous for some reason, been a long time since I've had this buzz or been into a record store asking for Prince. No luck according to one guy.. Damn, I knew this was too good to be true. Hold up, wait, another member of staff thinks it's just arrived! Oh god, keep cool. Act unconcerned. He checks upstairs. He comes back down with something in his hands. It's the new album by Prince. I can't believe it. £11.99, credit that motherfucker. I'm about to embark on an agonisingly long 45 minute journey back to my apartment, so I can enjoy it with my stereo giving it the funk it deserves. Fuck it, just tear the package open on the tube, in full view of everyone. Yeah baby, it's Prince but I'm still cool. Get hold of Brendan's review online, place CD in, turn volume and bass up high.
