PRINCE SHOULD GET A NEW WEBSITE.

.

imagine a new website called maybe PRINCE.COM or something similar. (simple and straightforward and easy to google)

imagine it contained a discography and maybe his thoughts and memories of the people he has worked with. maybe some anecdotes, and maybe some interesting insights into the recording process.(things that people find interesting)

imagine that it has samples of work in progress or of rare concert footage, etc.

no charge and you can be a member or not.

simple basic.

about the music , about the man , about the bands and about the sounds.

WHAT ELSE.

NPGMC IS CRAP LETS FACE IT. THE WEBSITE PROGRAM LOOKS AND INTERACTS LIKE A COLLEGE STUDENT MADE IT.AND IF YOU ACCESS IT FROM A MAC YOU'RE FUCKED.

Cool idea, but if prince offered his thoughts on stuff, would be coherent enough for us to understand? lol

Prince should get a manager, or a REAL fan (like me) to organise his shit. Gimme all access to the vault and i'll do the rest, finance the factory pressing...get fans to design the booklets.

Networks fans in different countries to distribute the music, quick turn around on each release...keep promises and really communicate with the fans.

3 releases every two months, all soundboard, all digital...unedit and done right.

Some good ideas there. It's a pity NPGMC didn't ASK fans what kind of a website they wanted, before creating that huge multimedia nightmare that we currently pay $25 for.

Like the great John Lennon said "imagine". Well, we can all imagine, but it will never happen.

Yeah, ab-sol-ooo-tel-leeey agree. NPGMC is crapola. He needs more than a new website though. Answers on a roll of toilet paper please. Send to "The Pharoah of Ohio"

Ah, c'mon Ian! That would be the sensible thing to do. Since when has Prince been sensible in his business dealings? You're asking too much of "The Pharaoh".

Well, one has to admit that the new website is one of the
very best, if not THE best online example of alienating a
possibly interested [general] public.

"Hey I thought Prince hadn't released anything since 1993
but now I heard a new song somewhere, let's check out his
website"

2 hours of googling later:

"Finally. No wonder I couldn't find it if it's called the
npgmusicclub.com. Anyway, let's check it out"

15 minutes of cosmic nomenclatural gibberish ticks by

"What the hell was that? Is this the wrong site again?"

Screen switches into "Golem at the Gates" mode

"Ah, now I can finally get inside"

Oops, well, you're forgiven, you're a newB, but Prince does
require you to make a $25 donation to browse through his
discography now...

"You know what, I'll give Kazaa a try".

Good for you.

And how sad for us gits who'll never learn and await our
new npgmc cd at home [probably until august 20th] while
it has hit stores in Europe.

The real irony is that it will be in bargain bins for oh
about $5 by the time we get our copy for $20.

lol

But hey, I'm a masochist so I don't mind. What's your excuse?
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Not quite that hard:

Go to google, type in "Prince", it'll be either the first or second thing you see, right there with the org.
